Finance minister promises growth above state forecast of 1.3% ‘19
MOSCOW, Apr 9 (PRIME) – The Russian economy can grow faster than envisaged by the government forecast of 1.3% in 2019, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said at a conference on Tuesday.
“I think that this year we will be able to attain a growth rate not lower but higher than set in the forecast,” Siluanov said.
The minister also said that the measures stimulating the global economy have exhausted their potential.
“I agree that there are risks for the global economy, the risk is very serious indeed. Since the monetary and budget incentives, easing of the monetary policy, both in the U.S. and in Europe, work no longer,” he said.
